Wonderful experience! Yummy!!!

It is so delicious. There is no one of the best omelet rice in the world. No matter the egg skin, sauce, ingredients are super delicious. The rice inside will be fried first according to taste, and the portion is super large. There is no need to add rice.

The taste of omuraisu shop that we ate at Golden Pavilion sightseeing exhibition is just just to eat.It was about 10 minutes of waiting and it was easy to order because there was Korean menu.

Discovered on the way to Kinkakuji.The review was expensive so I entered it.Ordered "Toro Yuba Omelet Rice".Is 1300 yen a little expensive?Horseradish-flavored rice with hijiki and a soup stock.There is quite a lot of volume, so be careful about the large!

Super friendly place. Delicious food. GENEROUS portion of food! And it's such a cozy place! If you are visiting the golden temple, check this place out. You won't regret it, I guarantee it!

BEST omurice I've ever had! Serving is HUGE and very reasonably priced. Mushrooms, cabbages, onions are mixed with the rice inside the omelette. They offer a wide variety of omurice, including vegetarian option. Omurahouse is just a short 5 min walk away from the entrance of kinkakjuji. We reached at 11+ and were one of the first customers. The shop started filling up minutes after with locals.

Really good omurice, one of the best restaurants near the Kinkakuji, great place to try this dish as they offer a lot of different choices of omurice.

Satisfying food coma meal :) Had the beef curry rice with added cheese. They mix barley grains into the rice which gives it an extra chewiness. Large portion, enough to share between 2 ladies.

Great stop for a warm and hearty meal on the way to see Kinkakuji.We got the hashed beef with cheese, and vegetable omu rice.It was delicious, and the egg was soft and fluffy. The curry and sauce were flavourful and there was just the right amount of toppings to go with the egg and fried rice.The service is polite and the ambiance is nice. The portions are large so consider sharing if you’re not hungry.

I really recommand this spot if you are next to the Kinkaku-ji and you want to try Omura (omelette filled with rice). They have different choices with different kind of meat, fish, vegetables and they can also adapt it to whatever you want. They have an english menu. The service is really quick, the staff is amazingly kind and speak some basic english. Nice overall experience.

Amazing omurice restaurant right down the street from Kinkakuji! We got curry, hashed beef, and original along with a tamagoyaki potato salad. The omlette was fluffy and sweet and the sauces were all super flavorful and amazing. There are English menus as well if you can't read Japanese, and the staff is really accommodating! Definitely a reccommendation if you are over by the Palace.

Never heard of this kind of rice dish before... Mine was great. Try it, or go home.

Had a great lunch here! Would recommend! It's a simple looking dish but definitely takes some skill to make. The servings are massive and extremely reasonably priced. The flavors were great. If you like a lot of umami flavor, I would recommend the curry omurice! This place is also great if you have dietary restriction, as the English menu includes a section on what ingredients are in each omurice and what substitutions can be made.

The omurice was delicious, but the woman who seemed to be a manager (glasses) was giving too much instructions to the clerk. I guess I'm going to be nervous while I'm busy, but the way I say it is hard or disgusting, and because the voice is so big I can hear it even if I do not want to hear it, ruining the delicious delicious omelet I thought

Omurice was above average. Worth a shot. Price is rather expensive as compared to other store.

Oishi desu !!! Recommended if you are visiting Kinkakuji Temple .. There is also Korean menu and chicken curry is good.

I think Yuba Omurice is a specialty of this shop, but it was very delicious! However, it was a pity that the omurice itself had cooled down because the yuba was not warm. The taste is delicious, so if you improve this area, I think that it is a product that can be recommended without problems even at 5 stars.

Delicious food

Very close to Kinkaku-ji. It's my second time here, first time was ten years ago. It is still the same place that delivers delicious Omurice. A large selection and large portion awaits you. It's quite small and kitchen smells all over the place, but it's worth it.

Delicious, not too expensive, filling. Fast and pleasant service.

I ate more than one omurice while I was in Japan and this was the best! Since it's near the Kinkakuji, it can get a bit crowded. A lot of students were eating there when I went in. Good to know it's appreciated by locals as well.

Conveniently located near kinkaku temple, it serves one of the best omurice that I've tasted. Their portions are generously huge, and comes with a reasonable price tag (if you get their lunch set for two).

Are able to do vegetarian!

I never tried "omura" before, but, they're good! Think of "different kinds of food inside an omelette-roll". I tried the shrimp & bacon and the curry ones and they both were great (see pictures). The service was also great, waitresses willing to help all the time and providing a great experience. Of you want to try a different type of Japanese food, this is the place!

Bland, boring omlettes with instant sauce. Disappointing.

I went to listen (Sunday) as a regular holiday (Sunday). I thought that it was crowded, but I was able to get back to the seat. I made it a set with salad and soup as it was awesome.I am full of stomach. Even those who eat big are satisfied.The taste is omelette but it is different from others and you can enjoy it.

English Menu is available. It has a cooling and homely atmosphere. Complex flavours using simple ingredients (barley, herbs, carrots and onions) all cooked to their individual done-ness, coming together in a savoury whole. Crunchy yet soft, warm and hearty. Curry was peppery but not overpowering, beef was stewed till soft but a little overcooked. Tomato sauce was fresh-sour and goes very well with the rice. The chicken was a little under seasoned, but the tomato sauce masks that. And most importantly, egg was perfect; not too watery or too dry(crisp). Will come here again.
